1 – Ann’s Bakery
Ann’s has been servicing Tulsa since 1938 and proudly claim to be ’Tulsa’s oldest scratch bakery’. They have been creating outstanding wedding cakes since business began in the 30′s. Other treats are available such as cookies, cupcakes and even Amish pastries, however these can sometimes be hit or miss. Their niche is definitely creating beautiful and delicious wedding cakes and they do so with elegance and pride.

2 – Kupcakz
At first I thought paying $2.50 for a cupcake was a little much, but after savoring “My Peanut Butter Cup” I knew it was well worth the money spent. The fluffy peanut butter frosting covering the chocolate cake can make you forget all the troubles of the world (at least for a couple of minutes). On my last visit the staff informed me that they toast their own peanuts which must be one of the keys to this delectable dessert. The yummy menu also includes the “Boston Dreamer” which is a spongy yellow cake with French pastry cream filling and covered with bittersweet chocolate ganache, the “Dirty Blonde”, a vanilla cake filled with white chocolate cream cheese frosting topped with dark chocolate shavings and the “Lemon Drop” which is a stimulating lemon cake with lemon curd and smooth lemon cream cheese frosting. The menu doesn’t stop there, it may take a while to place your order because it is difficult to just choose one or two when there are so many tempting bits of happiness in cupcake form.

3 – Maggie Moo’s
This ice cream treatery boasts “So fresh, it moos!” which is an odd logo but the treats are amazingly satisfying. Each specialty treat is bursting with so many candy and syrup flavors it can be hard to pick just one. To complement your ice cream creation the waffle cones come dipped in chocolate or vanilla and rolled in nuts or sprinkles if you so desire. The s’mores hot fudge sundae is ridiculous and worth the impending sugar crash! Maggie Moo’s also offers specialty ice cream cakes, cupcakes and smoothies for those who prefer some fruit with their ice cream. A bit pricey but worth an occasional treat!

Maggie Moo’s

4 – Merritt’s Bakery
This is a favorite for birthday cakes if you are willing to spend a extra for quality and creative decorations. Some of the prices skyrocket when you start adding designs and such to cakes so keep that in mind when placing an order. They offer several free creamy fillers to spread between the cake layers like, strawberry, chocolate, raspberry, etc. Other “premium” fillings are available with an additional charge. Merritt’s also offers an assortment of cookies, cupcakes and other pastries that are sold individually and several cakes are available to purchase by the slice.
Three Locations: Broken Arrow, Owasso and Tulsa.

Ann’s Bakery did my wedding – pies and a gorgeous cupcake tower. I was so happy with their work! I would highly recommend them.

Sweet Tooth Candy Store:
Visited Sweet Tooth just prior to Christmas 2009. I enjoyed the store and its contemporary inventory. The staff was friendly and I had selected several items to purchase as gifts. That is when everything changed …
Sadly, I wandered over into the candy section of the store – only to find within their candy bars and breath mints a few items that literally ruined my morning. These particular items make a mockery of Jesus by insinuating he needed chocolate and breath mints. The wrappers have the name of Christ emblazoned on them in large bold letters, followed by these insulting and degrading comments.
Needless to say, Sweet Tooth did not receive a penny of mine. I suggest all Christians avoid this shop until they come on here and post a notice that they have removed this extremely offensive material from their inventory.

I love Sweet Tooth, no matter what some so-called “Christians” say. Get a sense of humor and evolve.

I am coming to Tulsa Monday morning to a funeral. I would like to buy some type of food to take to the family. Can you suggest someplace to buy ready made, good food?
