CLUBhouse seems to be the IT restaurant of South Tulsa right now. So I thought I’d give it a try after hearing about it from everyone at work. I was surprised upon arriving that the restaurant was quite slow for a Sunday night. The atmosphere was relaxed and family oriented. After standing by the door waiting for someone to say hello, our server came over and informed us that Sundays tend to be slower and they had plans to close Sundays in the near future. Despite the vibe of a Sunday night I’ve been told it has a party atmosphere most other nights; with bands playing and DJs. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and modern. Offering a bar area, dining area, private party room and upstairs area.
The menu was what I think of as All-American cuisine. Featuring salads, sandwiches, steaks etc. The server informed me that they were out of quite a few menu options, I felt limited. The steak sandwich was recommended to me by a coworker so I thought I’d give it a try. The sandwich came with a choice of fries or coleslaw, I’m not a big fan of either so I substituted mashed potatoes. The steak on the sandwich was thick, over cooked and chewy and the mashed potatoes were burnt. My boyfriend ordered the chicken pesto quesadillas off the appetizer menu. They were served with a side of guacamole, salsa and sour cream which was nice, as most restaurants charge extra for those sides. I liked his dish better than mine.
I was disappointed by the service and menu which is unfortunate as this restaurant is new and should be focusing on great service and food; two components that a new restaurant needs to thrive. Overall I’d say this restaurant maybe more exciting on a Friday or Saturday night, perhaps just for appetizers, drinks and dancing with good friends.

Wow, sorry you had a bad experience Miss Foodie. I have never had a problem with the Clubhouse food. I usually get the excellent Portabella Burger and the Wing basket with the Buffalo sauce is to die for!

Too bad you had such a negative experience Miss Foodie. I held my son’s rehersal dinner at the ClubHouse Bar and Grill and couldn’t have been happier. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Mitch – the owner was wonderful in assuring that all our needs were met.
My husband and I have stopped by on a few other occassions for appetizers and drinks and once for dinner; we’ve never been disappointed. Try them again.
