Mr. Goodcents Subs and Pastas. 81st and Harvard: I have eaten at pretty much all the “big” sub shops. I stumbled on Mr. Goodcents on a Sunday afternoon and stopped in for a sandwhich. Unlike the “big” shops, the meats were fresh, sliced on the spot and tasty, the bread was amazingly fresh and soft. The two kids working there were civil but not overly friendly which I think is standard for todays kids. The one thing to watch out for is, the large sandwich is 18 inches, not 12. I stopped in again on another Sunday afternoon. The bread was just as fresh, the meat was just as tasty. I would certainly recommend Mr. Goodcents, especially on a Sunday afternoon.

I concur with your review. This place is excellent. I’ve been disappointed with every other Tulsa sandwich shop I’d tried, until today.

I’ve been eating at Mr. Goodcents for about 13 years now and I love it. My favorite is the italian sub with the salami, cappicola, and pepperoni. I think that they have changed the bread a little in the past few years-it seems like it was wider or something years ago. Also, it seems that the amount of meat on the sandwich depends on who is working on that particular day, but its not a big problem. I wish they still had their location in Fontana.
