Legends BBQ is a little hole in the wall place off the beaten road in Owasso. It’s not a place you would accidentally run across but it’s worth finding. The building itself is very reminiscent of a barn and not extremely inviting on the outside. Though as soon as you walk in you know you have come to the right place. The delicious smell of barbeque permeates the place and they often have live music there on Friday nights. The place is nothing fancy; everything is served on paper plates but it is delish! One of my favorite things to get there are the fried olives. These are a favorite for everyone whether they like olives or not. They mix crushed olives, salsa and cheese and then deep fry them. There is ranch on the side which makes them unbelievably delectable. I also got the two meat combo with chopped brisket and polish sausage. One of my guests had the ribs which looked so good! The hot barbeque sauce actually had a bit of a kick to it which was nice. We had all our food smothered in it. Legends Barbeque is definitely worth the short drive to Owasso. If you are in the mood for some fabulous barbeque you have got to try this place!

My favorite BBQ joint in the Tulsa area. I’ve eaten there for year and they never disappoint. Their BBQ actually has a nice smoky flavor, which I find lacking in a lot of the BBQ around here.

I’ve had better barbque many times, especially when we lived in Kansas City however as far as Oklahoma barbque goes, its not the worst. The beans are very good and the brisket was not too bad but the ribs are not very good at all. Not falling off the bone tender like barbque ribs should be. The cole slaw they served us last time was damn near inedible. Dry and flavorless. It tasted like sandpaper. I’ve had much better food in just about any barbcue restaurant in Kansas City, Nashville, Dallas and New York. But hey, if its the best you can find then what the hell. We ate in the Legends in Owasso once and the service was so bad we just do the drive thru now. Really, if you want great barbque and terrific service go down to Famous Daves in Tulsa. Best barbque in Oklahoma.
