A group of friends and I have been anxiously awaiting the release of The Time Traveler’s Wife, the movie. So naturally we made plans to go and see it the day that it came out last Friday night. I met up with my friends in Owasso and we decided to try Arris Pizza before the movie. I have driven by Arris’ Pizza numerous times because it is located right off 169. For whatever reason I had not been drawn in to try it, fearing it was another quick serve pizza place rather than delicious gourmet pizza.
We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in. The restaurant was nicely decorated in the theme of rustic Italy. The ovens and kitchen are in the open floor plan so that you can watch as they make and bake your pizza. We ordered a medium Atlas pizza which was topped chicken breast, bacon, spinach and roma tomatoes. We replaced the red sauce with an alfredo sauce which made it amazing. Even though we only ordered a medium we still took more than half of it home with us. The crust was unique almost like it was brick oven baked. It was in the same ballpark as Hideaway though I liked that mixing and matching is more encouraged at Arris‘ than Hideaway. Arris’ had more of a traditional Italian feel than many pizza places I have been to. Arris’ was a very pleasant surprise and I look forward to going back to try more of their pizzas. The Time Traveler’s Wife and Arris’ Pizza were both wonderful! Check out the trailer for The Time Traveler’s Wife below!

Can’t wait to try this place. That pizza looks good and cheezy.

Mmmhm! Looks good but I live in south Tulsa. I think I’ll have to get up there when I visit my uncle Vic in otown. I also love all the new shopping in Owasso.

The Atlas – chicken breast, breakfast bacon, spinach and roma tomatoes – is wonderful. Their lunch buffet is to be recommended!
