McNellies Tulsa

Half for Haiti Fundraiser

I would like to thank everybody who came to McNellie’s Tulsa, McNellie’s OKC, El Guapo’s and Yokozuna on January 26th to take part in our Half for Haiti fundraiser. As a result of this event we were able to donate $7,589.50 to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund. Thank you for your support of this important cause.

Mardi Gras Parade & Party – Tuesday, February 16th

We are extremely excited to be part of the Blue Dome District’s first Mardi Gras Parade & Party on February 16th. Join us so you can celebrate Mardi Gras in style.

The parade, which will include floats from each of our restaurants as well as our Blue Dome Neighbors, starts at 7:00 PM at the intersection of 1st & Elgin. Once it’s over we’ll keep the streets of the Blue Dome District closed for the best (only?) Mardi Gras party Tulsa has ever experienced. Wear your Saints gear.

Great Guinness Toast – Friday, February 19th

Join us at the Pub at 10:00 PM on Friday, February 19th, so you can be a part of a world record-breaking toast. Why should you go?

1.) It’s a good excuse to a drink a Guinness.

2.) It’s a chance to be a part of world record breaking event.

3.) It’s great practice for St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day is Just Around the Corner

By now all of you should know that St. Patrick’s Day is on March 17th. This year, my favorite holiday falls on a Wednesday. Therefore, I recommend that all of you begin making plans to roll St. Patrick’s Day into a five-day weekend. It’s a great idea, right?

Enjoy an incredible party at the Pub, which will once again include the awe inspiring Guinness Gig Rig, and then enjoy an extra-long weekend. I’m sure you’ve saved up a lot of personal days and vacation that you can burn. Think about it.

Don’t forget to check out the St. Patrick’s Day Countdown Clock on our website. This will ensure that you don’t miss the big day.

Finally, please note that since St. Patrick’s Day is on a Wednesday we’re going to move Burger Night to Tuesday, March 16th.

Maybe you should just take the entire week off.

February Pint Nights

Feb 15th – Young’s Chocolate Stout
Feb 22nd – McSorley’s Black Lager
McNellie’s Norman

Our new pub in Norman, Abner’s Ale House, should be open by the end of next week. We’ll keep you posted.

Follow Us on Twitter and Facebook

Apparently, these things called Twitter and Facebook are huge. So, I’ve been told that you need to “follow us”. I don’t get it, but I’ve been assured that those of you who know this stuff will know what that means and you’ll be thrilled.

Beer4Chicks – Tuesday, February 23rd

Beer4Chicks is an opportunity for the women of Tulsa to:

1.) Learn about craft beers
2.) Enjoy a night out on the town

It’s sort of like book club, but with none of the gnawing guilt associated with failing to buy, let alone read, your group’s latest selection.

The first Beer4Chicks event of 2010 will be at the Dilly Deli on February 23rd. Email Muriel (muriel@mcnellies.com) if you’re interested in learning more about this event.

The Dilly Deli is 1 (almost)

On March 13th, we will be celebrating Dilly Deli’s 1st birthday. Join us during our birthday week, from the 8th through the 15th of March, for $3 Reubens and $1 Miller Light Bottles.

Also, stop by on the 13th for cake and other birthday treats. It will be a big Dilly.
