The Korean Garden serves the only authentic Korean food in Tulsa and one of my favorite restaurants of any style. It is a small family owned restaurant, clean and simple with a very good menu.
They serve a variety of bulgogi, soups, bi-bim-bap, roast fish, and stir fry all served with rice and multiple side dishes. Many of the dishes are spicy, but not all. All are interesting and delicious.
I lived in South Korea for a 13 month tour with the Army many years ago and came away with an appreciation for Korean food. It is all about a balance of contrasting flavors and textures.
Until the Korean Garden came to Tulsa it was not possible to enjoy genuine Korean food. Over the last few years I have sampled every item on their menu and found them all to be just as I remembered them in Seoul.
The photo is of Bi-Bim-Bap – My favorite Korean dish, served with soup and a variety of side dishes. Shredded meat and crisp vegetables is served over steamed rice with an egg on top.Stir it up and enjoy! Sort of like the best fried rice you ever ate.

If you are unsure what to order they have a nice variety of dishes to choose from on a weekday lunch buffet ($10) and a even nicer one Friday and Saturday evenings ($15).
They are on the North West corner of E. 41st St. and 129th East Avenue in Tulsa.

The Korean Garden is a nice clean attractive restaurant that serves authentic Korean food at reasonable prices. There is a lunch buffet for $10 during the week and a $15 evening buffet on Friday and Saturday. If you are not familiar with Korean food the buffet lets you sample a lot of things.
The menu has a big variety of dishes, Korean barbecue (Bul-go-gi), grilled fish, stir fry dishes, and a wonderful selection of soup. Everything comes with a variety of side dishes in authentic Korean style. If you order off the menu you can spend from $8 to $15 per person but you better be hungry because it is a lot of food.
I hope this helps. If you decide to try it please let me know how you like it.

I am the leader of a large Sunday school class for singles, and about 20 to 25 of us go out to eat together afterwards. Are they open for lunch on Sunday, and do you have room for all of us? We try to go places where we don’t have to wait in line. Thank you for your help.

Does Korean Garden serve bi bam bap? Last time I went I tried to order it and the woman said they didn’t have it… That’s my favorite korean dish and I’d love to find some in Tulsa! I tried Haruno but theirs was served cold.

My family just went for lunch buffet today – it was pretty darn good – as someone else said – as authentic as you can get for Tulsa! For $12.99, it’s a deal with kalbi and bulgogi in the buffet! All the kim chi is great, the stir fry dishes were more Chinese like, but still yummy – the dishes are made fresh – nice veggies! A great place to go!

Thanks to No Reservations, I now have the urge to try things like bulgogi… I got hooked on authenthic kimchi at the (former) hot pot restaurant on 71st, can’t remember the name. Will definitely have to check out the buffet @ Korean Garden! Great review.

Suzan – The little side dishes are a traditional part of a Korean meal. I remember them from when I was in Korea. These little dishes are served cold and can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for at least a few days. If you are interested in serving Korean style you should find a Korean cook book.
If you live in the Tulsa area you should go to the Korean Garden and enjoy a good Korean meal and ask the people there to help you. The restaurant is a family place. The husband and wife are the cooks and the daughters serve the tables. Ask for “Micky” and she will help you. I have posted about this restaurant several times in my personal blog, tulsagentleman.blogspot.com and there are lots of pictures. Look at my blog and write “Korean Garden” in the search box in the upper left hand corner and you can see everything. I hope this is helpful.
